  1. Each Club shall play the other Clubs in the League at home and away in alternate years. Matches to be played mid - week unless mutually agreed otherwise. No matches to be played later than the THIRD week in AUGUST
  2. Teams shall consist of FIVE triples affiliated to their club. Normal EBA/Bowls England Rules of Play will be used
  3. Should a Club be short of players at the start then only the complete triples will play with the other triples being conceded with the opponents being awarded (1) point and (5) shots for each triple lost.
  4. No match shall start after 6.30 pm unless with the full agreement of both Clubs.
  5. The club can select different players for each round.
  6. Each match consists of five games, all games to be played simultaneously over 18 ends.
  7. An abandoned match will be deemed completed if 9 ends or more have been played on at least 3 rinks.
  8. The scoring will be:
    1. One (1) point for each winning triple, 
    2. Half (0.5) a point for each drawn triple
    3. Five (5) points for a match win, the team with the most shots. If the shot difference is nil the team winning the most triples is the winner. If the shot and triple differences are equal each team gets two and one half (2.5) points.
  9. Both captains are responsible for the completion and dispatch of the result sheet by post or email to the match secretary to arrive within 48 hours of the match.
  10. A player, having played for one Club in any given year will not be eligible to play for another Club in the same year.
  11. The date for the match to be agreed after joint consultation.
  12. In the event of the home team’s rink not being available for any reason on the agreed date the match is to be transferred to the away teams green or an agreed neutral green
  13. The home club will prepare five rinks. The captains will draw for rinks for each game.
  14. The Winner v The Rest match will be held on the presentation evening on a day agreed at the AGM.
  15. The League Winners will play The Rest on that year’s host green.
  16. That matches are to be played in Greys & Club Shirts or Bowls England approved club colours.
  17. A club not completing their programme within the agreed time limits shall be liable to forfeiture of points. League officers will arbitrate on this matter.
  18. League officers will arbitrate in any dispute not resolved by the Clubs concerned. Any disputes are to be referred to the Mid Bucks League Secretary in the first instance
  19. League fees to be paid by 1st March each year

  1. Each team to consist of Eleven players affiliated to their club.
  2. Entry fees to be paid by 1st March each year.
  3. The eleven players will represent their club in five games – 2 Wood Singles, Singles, Pairs, Triples and Fours.
  4. The competition is a mixed one and a club can select different players for each round.
  5. Each match consists of five games, all games to be played simultaneously.
 
                                                 2 Wood Singles – played over 21 ends.
                                                 4 Wood Singles – first to 21 shots
                                                 Pairs – best of 18 ends
                                                 Triples - best of 18 ends
                                                 Fours - best of 18 ends

  1. Each club scores 1 points for each game won.
  2. All games will be played until a winner emerges. If a game is tied after the requisite number of ends an extra end will be played until a winner emerges in each discipline.
  3. A coin will be tossed to determine who controls the mat.
  4. The date for the match to be agreed after joint consultation. The home team will offer their opponents 3 dates to include one weekend date. The final will be held on a day agreed at the AGM.
  5. In the event of the home team’s rink not being available for any reason on the agreed date the match is to be transferred to the away team’s green or an agreed neutral green.
  6. The home club will prepare five rinks. The captains will draw for rinks for each game.
  7. A match will be deemed completed. in the event of rain if 9 ends have been played on 3 rinks.
  8. Result sheet to be forwarded by post or email to the Secretary within three days by the captain of the winning team.
  9. Cut off dates for the completion of the matches is on the sheet containing the draw. Any club unable to meet these cut off dates will forfeit the match.
  10. The final to be played on that year’s host green
  11. Any disputes are to be referred to the Secretary in the first instance.
  12. In all early rounds the teams must wear either Greys & Club Shirts or Bowls England approved club colours. The final will be played in Whites and Club Shirts or Bowls England approved club colours.
  13. The host club of the final is to provide 2 markers for the singles
  14. A County umpire will officiate in the final.
  15. No meal need be provided unless agreed between the clubs concerned and there will be no meal supplied after the final.
